Ecotourism (Singapore)

Ecotourism in Singapore. Is it a possibility, do we have ecotourism? If so, what are they?

The definition of ecotourism, according to http://www.untamedpath.com, is “responsible travel to natural areas which conserves the environment and improves the welfare of the local people”. The natural areas involve remote areas, whether inhabited or uninhabited, and are usually under some kind of environmental protection at the national, international, communal or private level.

In Singapore, although a concrete jungle, still has the possibilities of ecotourism. Places such as Bukit Timah Nature Resrerve, the Central Catchment Nature Reserve, Pulau Ubin and Sungei Buloh Nature Park offer us the opportunity to explore these green-lung areas instead of being surrounded by the constant high density buildings. So it is possible to turn these places for Eco Tourism destinations.
